She Said Myflixer Populer Movie Watch Free In HD
Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey, who would later win the Pulitzer Prize, had only a few willing accusers when they released their initial New York Times investigation exposing Harvey Weinstein's decades-long pattern and harassment in October 2017. In the months and years that followed, more than 80 separate women ultimately accused the powerful man in Hollywood of a long list of crimes.
"She Said Myflixer" Not only did Kantor and Twohey's research pave the way for punishment for Weinstein and his crimes, but it also served as a catalyst for the global MeToo movement. It is critical to keep in mind that Weinstein's fall was brought about by meticulous reporting, tenacious determination, and the fortitude of a few brave individuals.
There is a dark irony in the fact that Weinstein, who was for so long a Hollywood titan and bonafide super-producer, was brought down by the kind of award-worthy true-life story the former Miramax head probably would have loved to make, back when he was, oh, you know, not in jail for multiple sex crimes. He needs to be hurt.
However, it's also brutally funny that two women—the kind of persistent, emotional, stressed-out, and brave individuals he spent a lot of his life and career attempting to silence—were responsible for Weinstein's demise. Numerous movies could be made about what Weinstein did, how Kantor and Twohey brought him down, and the numerous lives his crimes damaged, but Schrader's would probably still stand out.
ZOE KAZAN AS KANTOR AND CAREER MULLIN AS TWOHEY, WHO BOTH TURN IN WONDERFUL PERFORMANCES, ARE PART OF THE REASON FOR THAT. PART OF IT IS DUE TO HOW MUCH INFORMATION SCHRADER AND SCRIBER REBECCA LENKIEWICZ MANAGE TO PACK INTO A FILM THAT RUNS JUST OVER TWO HOURS.
She Said offers a thorough and impeccably-detailed look into the process of reporting the story, starting just before Donald Trump's election and concluding practically as the team presses "Publish" on the October 2017 piece. The movie's biggest strength, though, is tougher to define than just "telling us all the major plot beats," and goes beyond the story's quick tick-tock pace.
That is what "She Said" does, but it also conveys all the story's emotions. It begins early, with Schrader moving us through a busy New York City street bustling with people — you know the shot, you've seen it plenty of times before — but instead takes time to focus on women, lots of them, ordinary women just going about their days, talking on the phone, going to work, or boarding the subway. Women.
Everywhere. The subject of this tale might be any of them. But it's mainly about two of them, and Schrader and her actors painstakingly create entire emotional universes for these fictionalized versions of Jodi and Megan.
Jodi shares this belief, despite the fact that she feels overworked at all times. While the foundation of Kantor and Twohey's work—from the initial research through their book, which served as the inspiration for Lenkiewicz's screenplay—was their collaboration, Schrader frequently defers to Kazan.
While Mulligan and Kazan are both essential to the success of "She Said," the tale tends to naturally gravitate toward Jodi more frequently, and Kazan consistently outperforms. She is responsible for carrying out the most difficult tasks in the movie, thus it is wrong to call it "cathartic" when she sobs in the hardest situations or "wrenching" when she has to do the most difficult reports. It goes beyond that.
